AllanB I’ve been following JAJ for seven years now and have seen him live, in various guises and bands, over 20 times. This new record evidences how far he has come in that time. The most striking thing now is that he has fashioned a unique sound that simply couldn’t be anyone else, while the songwriting is so polished and sophisticated, melding a host of styles into something utterly contemporary, fresh, and absorbing. He’s undoubtedly one of the best musicians in the U.K. Favorite track: Don’t Tip Me Over (feat. Fatima).

majhium Simply a fantastic album. Every single track is a gem in its own right. So many brilliant collaborations. The musically faultless blend of jazz, dub, broken beat and spot on vocals smoothed me in a much needed lazily rolling Saturday under a searingly hot anthropocene summer sun. Love that piano in every track. Loved hearing Fatima again. Sweet! Buzzing! Favorite track: Ikigai (feat. Mala, Marysia Osu, & YUIS).
